FTD means first-time depositor: a customer making a first deposit as defined by the programme. An FTD is not automatically a payable CPA acquisition. The agreement can add country, new-customer, attribution, minimum-deposit, verification or other qualification conditions.
Follow the event through qualification
Separate an account registration, a first deposit and a confirmed qualifying customer. A report can show all three with different dates. The fee is earned only by the event described in the accepted agreement. Keep the reporting label and commercial meaning together.
- 01Register
An account is reported.
- 02Deposit
A first deposit is recorded.
- 03Validate
The agreement's eligibility checks finish.
- 04Confirm
A qualifying commission is recorded.
An example of the difference
Assume a report contains 12 first deposits and only 10 satisfy the agreed CPA conditions. At an illustrative $90 per approved customer, commission is $900, not $1,080. The rate and counts are educational inputs, not Win Commission terms. Ask for the two rejection reasons rather than silently treating every first deposit as payable.
Questions to settle in advance
Ask whether new means new to one brand or a wider group, what deposit conditions apply, which countries and sources qualify, what attribution window is used and when verification ends. Record the agreement version. A programme-specific definition is more useful than an industry acronym alone.
What to record
Preserve the source report, reporting period, supported campaign identifier, event status and any adjustment reason. Count confirmed events once. Clicks and registrations alone do not earn Win Commission commission.
